2023 is finally here! I don’t know about you, but I’m excited about the new year and all the possibilities it brings. More importantly, I want to fill it with intentionality.
Many of us get caught on the hamster wheel of life. We work hard, yet still feel like we aren’t getting anywhere. Because of that, intentionality matters.
Living intentionally means purposefully pursuing the life God has called you to live. In other words, it requires deliberate action in the different areas of our lives.
In today’s episode, I’m talking with Glenn Packiam, a pastor, author, and musician. Glenn and I discuss how to live with greater intention throughout the year. We also explore how pausing can help us gain clarity and perspective. Along the way, we talk about embracing more “I get to” moments instead of constantly focusing on “I have to.”
Glenn Packiam is the Lead Pastor of Rockharbor Church in Costa Mesa, California. He is also the author of several books, including The Resilient Pastor and Blessed Broken Given. In addition, Glenn has written more than 65 worship songs published through Integrity Music. He and his wife, Holly, have four children and live in Orange County, California.
Listen in to learn about:
- Why intentions can be more meaningful than resolutions
- The five spheres of living
- The prayer of examen and the 5 R’s: Rest, Review, Rejoice, Repent, and Receive
- How to choose a Word of the Year
- How God works through His Word
- Practical ways to live with more intention throughout the year
Ultimately, this conversation is about slowing down, gaining perspective, and choosing to live with purpose rather than simply moving through the motions.
