Hello Friends!
As we continue in our year-long series, we are taking small steps to help you be healthy, small, easy, actionable steps to increase your happiness, build better relationships, and feel stronger.
Today’s episode is a hard topic – Grief and Loss. It can bring up lots of strong emotions. We don’t good or bad emotions – it’s all about what YOU do with them. God was emotional, and we were made in His likeness. So why do sometimes, in the Church, we tend to not embrace our emotions or others’ when there is grief or a loss.
In this episode, I am joined by Kate Meyer, a fellow counselor, author, and ordained minister. We discuss her new book, Faith Doesn’t Erase Grief. We also discuss how the Bible teaches us ways to grieve, why hope is so critical, and how God validates our grief.
Kate J. Meyer, MDiv, LPC, is an ordained minister and licensed professional counselor who has worked in private practice and hospice care.
